The Westerband Lab
University of Louisiana at Lafayette
Research in my lab focuses on how plants acclimate (short-term) and adapt (long-term) their physiology and morphology in response to environmental stressors, including drought, deep shade, and low soil fertility.
We use a combination of experiments, fieldwork, and modelling (population and statistical models) to understand how these changes impact ecological processes (at population and community scale) and plant performance.
I am actively seeking graduate students with an interest in plant physiology. If you are interested in applying, please reach out!
